Description

This online video course examines the underlying principles and theories that make electrical engineering possible. We discuss what series and parallel circuits are, and their effects upon an electrical circuit. We will look at Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's law, and various circuit theorems, such as the Thevenin and Norton theorems. You will learn about conductors, insulators, resistors, and capacitors; what they are, how they work, and how they are used within an electrical circuit.

By the end of the course, you will have a firm understanding of what common electrical components within an electrical circuit are, how they are used, and why they behave in the manner they do. You will also know why electromagnetism and electric fields define the world of electrical engineering. Putting all this information together will help you build a strong foundation upon which to further build your electrical engineering knowledge. This course also serves as a primer for anyone wishing to perform network analysis, or the calculations that are relevant for metering circuits.

So, if you’re keen to expand your engineering knowledge, you have come to the right place!

Enjoy the course!
